Understanding the Dual-Paper Format
JEE Advanced is unique because it has two compulsory papers of 3 hours each on the same day. This 6-hour testing format is designed to test depth of understanding and endurance.

12-Month JEE Advanced Preparation Roadmap
Phase 1 (Jul - Sep 2026): Build the Foundation
Complete JEE Main syllabus first. JEE Advanced builds on these concepts. Focus on Mechanics (Physics), Physical Chemistry, and Calculus (Math). Solve NCERT thoroughly.
Phase 2 (Oct - Dec 2026): Advanced Problem Solving
Start JEE Advanced PYQs topic-wise. Focus on multi-concept questions and novel problem types. Begin with 2020-2026 papers on Rankify's CBT platform.
Phase 3 (Jan - Mar 2027): Full-Length Mocks

Key Strategies for Cracking JEE Advanced
- NCERT is non-negotiable: Especially for Chemistry. Many JEE Advanced questions are based on NCERT examples with twists.
- Master MSQ (Multiple Select Questions): These have partial marking (+2 for partially correct, +4 for fully correct). Strategically attempt when you're sure about at least one option.
- NAT (Numerical Answer Type) is your friend: No negative marking. Always attempt all NAT questions even if you need to guess.
- Paragraph-based questions: Read the passage carefully. The first question is usually straightforward. Don't skip a full paragraph set if you understand the passage.
